Sexuality and Gender Alliance (SAGA)
Mission
Sexuality and Gender Alliance aims to create a welcoming and inclusive community that will support all students who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community at CMC, in order to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to improve their lives and their communities. SAGA is open to all interested students and outlines the following organizational objectives:
To bolster up a visible community of LGBTQ+ students and their allies not only within Claremont McKenna College but also the entire consortium;
To strive for educational, cultural, economic, political, and social empowerment of LGBTQ+ students within our community;
To educate and advocate on issues pertaining to sexuality, gender, and ally-ship in order to create a safe environment for all CMC students
To provide an intimate space for LGBTQ+ students to discuss identity and issues facing the LGBTQ+ community; and
To foster collaboration and empowerment in surrounding communities with other LGBTQ+ organizations in the Claremont Consortium.
