Senate 2024-25

The Senate is the body tasked with being the student form of ASCMC. 

The ASCMC Senate meets every Monday at 8pm in Freeberg Forum.

All students may become senators by attending the first meeting of the year, the first meeting of a new administration, or three meetings in a row.

Biography:

Hi! I'm Aaria Chandwani, a sophomore majoring in Economics with a sequence in Data Science. On campus, I am a Data Journalist at the Lowe Institute of Political Economy, the Chief Development Officer at CMC Smart Women Securities, and a consultant at Pomona Consulting Group. Most importantly, I’m the AAA chair at ASCMC! When I’m not working, I love to dance and am part of the Bollywood dance club, Tamasha. I’m also a fan of R&B music and love to make fun of my friends. Rachel Kindler is a sophomore from Westchester, New York majoring in Economics and Organizational Studies. On campus, she’s a first year guide and a Handley Women Leadership fellow. She enjoys cycling, pickleball, and listening to live music. As Chair of Community Service Committee she is excited to plan interactive events that help connect CMC’s community to volunteer and community service initiatives.

Hey hey! I'm Francesca Rossi (but you can call me Fran!) and I'm a sophomore from the California Bay Area. I'm so excited to be the chair for the Environmental Affairs Committee after serving as a member during my freshman year. On campus, besides serving as the EAC chair, I am proud to be an Roberts Environmental Center EcoRep, a player for the 5C women's club rugby team, and a FYG (aka a freshman orientation leader). In my free time, I like to be crafty, listen to lots of music, read, make my friends laugh, and have my fair share of sitcom binging. I can't wait to make our campus greener and cleaner and I hope to see you at Senate!

Saiesha Bade

Hey you! I'm Saiesha Bade, currently in my freshman year and exploring a double major in Psychology and Economics. At school, I’m involved as an analyst for the student investment fund, work with the apparel division of Claremont Women in Business, and serve as a choreographer for the 5C Bollywood dance group, Tamasha. Besides the mundane work life, I love to hang out at the hub with friends, snap photos with my DSLR, soak up some sunshine, or hug Yoshi, the campus therapy dog. I'm really excited to contribute as Senate Secretary and cannot wait to connect with more people in this vibrant community!
